I have always been surrounded by children, and truly enjoy caring for and entertaining them. I worked within a face painting and children's party entertainment business for 8 years, and volunteered as a Brownie Guide leader for a year. On a more personal level, I've grown up with babies and children in my day to day life, and have helped raise the children in my family, fulfilling practical and emotional duties. I come from a large family, and have strong family values; as the eldest I have always had an enormous sense of responsibility to my younger siblings, always taking on the combined role of the caregiver and the 'entertainer' as such. As soon as I was 14 I became a babysitter and was so for many families for years, giving me experience with a variety of different children, households and ages. I understand the line between being an authority figure to a child and being a friend; I think it's important to play and let children be children, whilst simultaneously being educational and responsible as a carer.
