I have many years of experience with children - I am from a big family so there has always been nieces, nephews and cousins to look after and then I started working with children in my teens - babysitting initially and then working for 6 years in an after school and holiday children's club with children aged 4-14. While in this employment I achieved an NVQ 2 in playwork and trained for my NVQ 3. I also became a supervisor and undertook first aid and child protection courses. At this time I also worked for some time as a tutor for a home schooled child. More recently I have worked as a nanny and babysitter for another family with 2 children, references can be provided. I am now newly living in Wickford and have been married for 11 years, I am a non smoker and have a clean driving license. I am looking for a small amount of work each week (possibly before school and drop off) or ad hoc babysitting. I feel children thrive in a safe, warm environment where they can feel cared for and happy to express themselves while knowing clear boundaries and learning through play.
