My name is Angelica, I am currently a student at the University of Edinburgh, living in Marchmont/Tollcross area. I have had a lot of childcare experience as I worked as a full time nanny this summer. From May to August I was responsible for two different families. One family had two children, one aged 6 and the other aged 10 and the other family, one aged 8 and the other aged 10. This involved picking them up from school, taking them to after school activities, making them dinner every night, helping with homework and preparation before bed and putting them to bed. I have also done work experience in a primary school in London in 2017, as I worked as the class assistant which involved helping children in reading, writing and maths, filing their work and marking homework. I gained a sense of leadership and a role to direct and teach others as well as gaining a sense of confidence around children of all different ages. When I am home, I frequently babysit for families in my neighbourhood, especially one child who is four years old. I have gained a lot of experience over the years and enjoy helping and gaining bonds with children. Angelica.
