I hold an NNEB qualification, in which I qualified over 28 years ago at Leicester college. I also hold a level 3 qualification in forest school. I started off as a Nanny, caring for children from the age of 1 to 6 years old. My roles included planning stimulating activities, cooking, doing light housework and taking to and from nursery and school. I worked in this field for around 4 years, then chose to care for children in a local day nursery, caring for 2-3 year olds. Here my roles were very similar as bring a nanny, except I was caring for a larger number of children. I have now been working in nurseries for over 20 years. For the past 7 years i have taken on the role of being a room leader, both in the 2-3 year old room and with pre school children. Here I lead a team, guiding and supporting them to help me support all of the children in our care, and giving each child the opportunity to learn and develop at their own pace, ensuring that they are made to feel included at all times.
