I have worked in childcare for over 7 years on and off. Working throughout that time in an ofstead outstanding nursery. My roles within that nursery have varied over the years. I have been a baby room leader. Within this role I ensured that the babies home routines where maintained through a close relationship with the parents. Monitoring development of each baby. Also planning activities daily to encourage fun and development in all areas. I worked with 2-3 year olds for about 4 years. I found this age group such a fantastic age. Exploring their imagination, helping with their independence such as potty training. Still working closely with family’s with routine. I am level 3 qualified with 3 years of first aid training . I am level 4 in makaton signing for children and have also had a year worth of SENCO training. I spent a year within the nursery one to one with a Down syndrome child working closely with outside agencies.
