I have been working with children since I could, when I was younger I was always excited about being able to babysit for my neighbours and parents friends. Since the age of 15 I have babysat regularly and throughly enjoyed it. I am now 18 and have finished my A-level studies. For the last 6 months I have been working with a Nursery Agency, working in my local area supporting nurseries. Through this job I have learnt the critical skill of adapting to new environments, as currently the nursery I work at changes most days. Within this job I have helped develop children’s motor skills and speech skills, as well as assisting at nap times, meal times and throughout the day. I have been trained in safeguarding for children and have learnt the importance of supporting children in their early years, as this is where they thrive and become who they are. Each day I see new children enjoying exploring, learning and playing and it brings me so much joy to be able to be a part of their journey.
