My name is Amaal! I’m a university student at King’s College London who is based in Buckinghamshire. Throughout my school career I have been fortunate enough to have gained a range of childcare experience. Most recently since Summer 2021 I have worked as a Nursery Practitioner which involved caring for children from the age of 9 months old to the age of 4 years old. I tended to the children’s needs by monitoring and looking after them whilst aiding in the process of preparing for primary school. In addition to this I spent 6 months volunteering with a class of school age children at South Bucks RDA (riding for the disabled) which I thoroughly enjoyed, this role of great responsibility enabled me to deepen my sense of patience, empathy and see the importance of commitment to others. During Sixth form I was a “reading buddy” to a couple of children at a nearby primary school, I helped these children who struggled with reading to develop their reading skills. I also come from quite a larger wider family so have been surrounded by children for most of my life!
