I have had plenty of experience in delivering childcare since my late teens, where I would frequently provide childcare for family friends and siblings. I would provide after-school duties by picking up the children from school, spending time on homework, providing meal prep and engaging the children in some activities before bed time. Some of the children I worked with were neuro-diverse, so I would tweak our after school schedule to fit their needs. In more recent years, I have provided child care for two siblings, aged 8 and 6. My tasks included after school duties and full days of care during the summer holidays. Both of the children are very active and love going to the park and attending free interactive workshops at museums. I was keen to make sure that before bedtime we had a couple of hours to wind down, by watching TV or reading to them. Other work with children includes workshops at Primary Schools and Art Council funded projects. These workshops are popular amongst children of all abilities as they provided focus and self-expression in a tactile and novelty way.
