Hello! My name is Abbie and I am a 21 year old student who is currently studying educational psychology at the university of Birmingham. I am living at home and so I am looking for a part time nanny job to fit around my studies. I have lots of experience working with children in various settings and with different ages. I have always had a passion to work with children and I plan to do a further teaching degree when I have finished my undergraduate. I have been a nanny for two families over the past year, one with two younger children and one with primary school aged children. I also have experience working in a nursery in 2021, where I mainly worked in a babies room for children 1-2. I have also been an au pair three times, where my responsibilities were to look after the children whilst the parents were working. I built a great relationship with all the families I au paired for and we will keep in contact and will go back to visit them whenever I am able! Recently, I have completed a placement within a year 6 class of a local primary school, whereby I helped the teacher with lessons and supported children with their work. More casually I regularly look after my cousins children who are aged 2 and 5.
