I am a recently graduated TA at a primary school. I work 7:30am-1:10pm on a week day in Chislehurst. My job involves supervising an 8 year old with a Hickman line and feeding tube and supporting the class he is in with the curriculum, giving extra help to children with mixed abilities, special needs and those who do not have English as their first language. I am first aid trained and DBS checked. I also have experience working with children during vacation employment for the last two years working for an activity camp for 4 - 14 year olds as a Group coordinator. I manage anywhere from 15-25 children ensuring their safety, health and welfare throughout the day whilst leading engaging activities that promote their well-being. The position has improved my ability to adapt from the unpredictable challenges that come from working within childcare. I also volunteered at my extra-curricular theatre school to teach younger pupils acting, singing and dancing working towards productions, fuelling my interest in performing arts and encouraging others to pursue such a creative outlet. It involved keeping the children occupied, supervising them at lunchtime and assisting with costume changes backstage.
