Childcare in Gateshead

| I’ve been in the childcare sector since I left college. I completed a Btec in nursery nursing .Went straight to work for five yrs in a private nursery . There I gained experience of 6 weeks to preschool .From there I went to work in social services as a nursery assistant .This involved working with families as a whole . Helping and supporting where needed . And for the last 13 1/2 yrs I have worked at a family home in Gosforth I say worked I have been like part of the family I have been there since they were nursery age I feel like part of the family and enjoyed it so much . It has been wonderful . And we’ve had such a good time ! Unfortunately I shall be leaving soon But I’ll always keep in touch ! At my previous employment it has evolved over the yrs At first child care involving pick up drop offs at school Children’s clubs Having friends for tea Drop offs Trips to hairdressers, dentists , hospitals And even the vets lol !! Preparing snacks and tea Tidying rooms Helping with homework Light housework The list goes on I would love to join another family and grow with that family And provide a safe , caring and loving environment x I live in Sunniside

| I am currently studying a primary education degree and within this I complete placements in both nurseries and primary schools. During these placements I realised my passion for childcare, and I am now seeking work in this area, beyond my degree. I have the skills to nurture children in academic learning but also social, emotional and physical development as well. As a future teacher, I can create spaces or activities that foster a child’s overall growth—promoting care, safety, and emotional well-being. Part of my studies also focus on understanding how to care for children who have unique needs, whether they are physical, emotional, or cognitive so I am able to cater to specific needs.
