I have been working with families and young people from around the world adding a mixture of culture and extensive global travelling. I started off working for high profile families as a private tutor and Nanny where a high level of discreet and organisational skills were essential. Within this role, I learnt that its very important to build a positive and nurturing rapport, along with maintaining boundaries on a professional level from an early stage of the position. Throughout my time working in this role I spent time travelling with families, transporting children in sole charge via long haul flights as well as independently travelling to different locations for job placements which enhanced my organisational skills to a high standard. Whilst doing so, I’d prepare written reports in each child’s progress along with areas of extra attention. This then lead into working for an international school on the side to gain more knowledge on a larger scale of young people and explore the educational setting which I truly enjoyed. I would create a fun environment for children to develop their care needs such as; cooking, hygiene and social interaction.
