Childcare in Charnwood

| I am a student at the Oxford University. Im currently taking some time out with plans to return to my studies in October this year. While I don't have any childcare qualifications I have been looking after children for Family & Friends for many years now - contact details provided upon request. I have experience caring for children from 0-14. I have also spent my own childhood and teenage years caring for my autistic mum. I excelled academically myself & I would be well suited to guiding your children through home schooling during Covid-19. I achieved 8 A*s and 3 A's at GCSE; ABE at A-level (due to health issues); a Distinction in the Lady Margaret Hall Foundation Degree & I'm looking towards a First in the Bachelors which I'll resume in the autumn. In these times I want to make work as accessible as possible especially for women who would otherwise be forced to stay home due to the school closures, to reflect this I will not be charging the exorbitant rates that some Oxbridge students are for their tutoring (only minimum wage).

| I am a qualified up to level 3 in childcare, with 4 years experience working in the industry. I’ve worked with children 16 weeks - 4 years and am looking to experience a nanny position, but am also open to out of hours/ babysitting positions, which I also have experience in and can provide references from families that I have worked with.

During that time I attended a placement in a preschool caring for children from 12 weeks up to 5 years old. I prepared snacks, helped children of all ages eat whether it was opening a wrapper, cutting up fruit and spoon or bottle feeding. I cleaned and tidied and mostly I cared for all the children. I have babysat for many young family members before of different ages. I have done this since age 13 until present day. I love spending time with and caring for children, I work well creating activities for entertainment and development as I learnt during my placement.

| I qualified with a diploma in childcare in 2004. Since then I have worked in a variety of settings including a school, nursery and children's own homes. I have been with my current family for 6 years now. I would like to continue working for them, so I am looking for something that fits around the hours I look after them. I care for them on a Wednesday and Thursday afters school 3-6. I wish to leave my office job (that is not suited to my personality ( on a Monday, Tuesday and Friday. I am Ofsted registered, have a current first aid certificate, driving license and liability insurance. I am looking for part time, after school, or 2-3 days a week. When the children I care for were younger we would often go to toddler groups, the park, farms, museums day trips and do lots of art and craft activities. My role has changed as they have got older which now requires me to take them to after school clubs and cook their evening meals. I am married and we have a 4 yeah old boy. In my spare time I enjoy taking my son to the theatre, for walks in the country side. And when I have time I enjoy painting and jewellery making.
