Childcare in Derry City

| I really enjoy working with children. I have grown up in a large extended family surrounded by young children and have always been babysitting. In terms of experience, I have many years of evening and weekend experience babysitting young children. The past two summers I was a full time nanny caring for a family of 3 children. I have lots of experience within the childcare and health and social care sector, with both GCSE’s (A* Child Development Level 2) and A Levels (A* Health and Social Care Level 3). I have lots of experience with bathing, feeding, putting to bed, following routines, cooking, cleaning duties, doing homework and ensuring that the house is safe and locked up as well as stimulating learning through arts and crafts, play, reading books and going on walks. I dance, sing and play piano. I am very reliable, respectful, trustworthy and am great at using my own initiative. References available!

| I’m currently a Radiotherapy & Oncology (cancer care) student looking for flexible but fun work that I can balance with my studies. I have experience in working with vulnerable/sick adults and children in hospitals within my studies and clinical placement. I also have experience in babysitting and have worked as a football coach for an U6’s team for two years, being responsible for and entertaining 15+ children aged 4-6 years old. I have also worked as a Christmas Elf where I greeted and entertained children of all ages. I am a friendly, fun loving but responsible and reliable person. I have also worked full time as a housekeeper in a hotel. I am willing to babysit and care for children as well as assist in light housework if needed. Based in BT48, near city centre.

| I volunteered in a summer scheme for children from disadvantaged areas in the city. It was a two week long scheme in which I was one of five leaders, looking after a group of 15-20 four to five year olds. We planned activities, games and day trips for the children. I worked as an au pair in Paris for 2 years. I looked after a 2 year old boy and 11 year old girl. I looked after the boy full time and picked the girl up from school and helped her with homework. I learned so much and gained so much childcare experience within those two years. It was an amazing experience and I loved the job.
