Hi, I’m Jemma and I live in Market Harborough
| I have all sorts of experience in support work/childcare and have a full and up to date DBS. I’m currently working as a Support Worker for people with disabilities in a supported living house. I used to work with children in a nursery and would like to go down the childcare route once again. I have relevant care Certificates; these include certificates in first aid, epilepsy awareness, fire training, food hygiene, diabetes and many more. I have experience with children in educational and home settings. When working in the nursery I moved around to support children in each age group. I’m also an auntie to 14 children who I regularly sit for or take to activities/school. I have experience in ages ranging from new born to ages up to 14. As well as these I also do 1:1 support with an adult with learning disabilities. We read for 2 hours every Friday at a local primary school.

Current undergrad student seeking to help a family out during these difficult times
| I have worked for two families on and off for a number of years, as well as helping with childcare for my own brother and sister at home, one of whom has autism. Furthermore, I have also worked with a little boy with fetal alcohol syndrome, who I actually met working in my previous job at a supermarket and created a very positive friendship with. I’ve also had experience working in a primary school and teaching a few classes in secondary school, so I’m more than happy to help with homework and schooling in these awkward times. Whilst I don’t have any qualifications in childcare, I’m currently doing my undergraduate degree in politics and history, hoping to do my PGCE next September to go into teaching, so it’s safe to say I’ve always loved kids! I’m happy to pay for my DBS to be reinstated and provide references also. If you would like a video call to meet me I’d be more than happy to do so! If you would like references from my previous employers at my other job in customer service then this can be arranged also.
