| My name is Nicol, I am an Ofsted registered Childminder based in Barkby Village. I have two young children of my own who are 5 and 8. I am passionate about providing a warm, safe, homely and educational childcare service. I cater for pre school age children and school age children who require before and after school care as well as care during school holidays. I provide all meals and snacks which are all home made and nutritious. I am able to cater to any dietary and/or allergy requirements.

I live in Narborough and for as long as I remember, I have wanted a career that involved working with children. The birth of my first son in September 2013 gave me the ideal opportunity to set up my own business as a childminder - and I have loved every second. My welcoming home has a large lounge which offers space for lots of fun and engaging activities, as well as a quiet area for reading or completing homework. The kitchen will host nutritious meals, as well as activities such as cooking and messy play. The rear garden is enclosed, offering a safe environment for outdoor fun. I am passionate about providing the type of service I would want to receive myself, and aim to make my home as welcoming as possible for all of the children in my care. I do not have a dedicated play room as I want all children to experience the 'being at home' feeling that nurseries cannot provide.

I was a nanny for a variety of families in different countries, looking after children ageing from 6 months- 9 years, before meeting my husband and starting a family. For the last 7 years I’ve worked in a local nursery and playgroup as a casual and now do 2 days a week at a playschool.
