I have been studying and working in childcare for almost 6 years. Over that time I have completed my Level 3 Childcare and Education Diploma and GCSE in Childcare. During my studies I did voluntary work in various nurseries and primary schools.
Since becoming a fully qualified childcare practitioner I have worked as a nursery nurse, working with children aged 9 months to 2 years.
For the past two years I have been working as a full time nanny for children between the ages of 6 weeks - 4 years. My duties include caring for the children, cooking them healthy balanced meals, making the beds, cleaning up after the children and around the house during nap times, bathing them, doing the bed time routines, taking the children to classes, school drop offs and pick ups and occasionally laundry. Two of the families I nanny for have had 3 children 3 and under, so I’m used to working with many young children at one given time. I’m happy to - and often do - work all different hours of the week, including evening babysitting, overnights and full weekends when the parents are away. My job role has also meant I’ve been lucky enough to travel with a family to the south of France on a summer holiday.
