Childcare in Rother

| I am a mother to two grown up sons and a doting grandmother to a nine year old granddaughter and a four year old grandson whom I regularly care for and have done since they were born. I took early departure from the Prison Service and have taken a career break to recharge my batteries. I have taken on many caring roles including wrap around childcare,taking care of my elderly mother during the past two years and assisting my family with their childcare needs. I have run a home for the past forty years andI am someone whom is very capable and assertive. I enjoy caring for a family as I believe providing them with a loving stable environment is essential. I believe I am a fun,happy person who is reliable,a self starter and can deal with anything that is thrown at me. I

| I have worked in a nursery setting with children aged 2-4 years for two years now and have achieved my NVQ level 2 qualification in the process. I have also volunteered for an after school group in the past and worked with children between the ages of 6-10 years. I often babysit for my family and close friends. I will be working towards a level 3 NVQ in childcare from September in a nursery but as it is currently the summer holidays, I am very flexible for the upcoming weeks.

| I have provided childcare for children and families for over 6 years, from teaching in nurseries to private babysitting and I have loved every minute. I care for babies as young as 3 months old, all the way up to primary age. I love cooking new and exciting healthy meals and am used to light housework. Messy play and coming up with exciting activities is one of my favourite things to do with the children, as well as going on outdoor adventures! (Forrest school is something I have experienced through my nursery career and loved!). I work by following the child’s interest and use this when supporting their developmental progress. I am fond of animals so family pets are no problem for me.
