| I am a social work student studying at the University of Birmingham. I am offering a babysitting service for weekday and weekends. I have grown up with children my entire life as my mother is a OFSTED registered childminder. From the age of 18 I have been registered as her assistant therefore have experience working under OFSTED and I understand the importance of child safety and safeguarding. I spent my summer holidays working in a children's play club so, I have an abundance of experience caring for children of varying ages. I enjoy building relationships with children and watching them grow and explore their childhood. Being able to provide care for quality and safe care for children while their parents/ guardians have a much needed break (especially after the year he have had) is an amazing feeling and I throughly enjoy babysitting and caring for children. I have a full DBS which I can show upon request.

I have been babysitting on and off for around 3 years now and currently undergoing placement at Birmingham children’s hospital. | The skills I have to offer is patience and tolerance. I understand that children are young and just learning about the world around them so it's important to handle them with care, listen to any problems they are having and trying your best to solve them with patience and not anger. I am also enthusiastic and engaging with children, trying my hardest to keep them entertained and happy so we can develop a relationship. I also focus on actively listening to children especially in terms of boundaries or if the child feels upset in anyway. I have developed my experience from not only working part time at a child minders but from looking after my siblings as well from the age of 13. Taking on tasks such as helping with homework, creating fun and educational activities, placing children for naps/bed, feeding the children nutritional meals and cleaning up after. I enjoy babysitting as one day is never the same with children, I enjoy seeing them reach their potential and having to look after children really motivates me to be a better person, after all once children are in my care I am acting as their role model.
