I’m looking for some childcare work to fill my spare time. I am a kind and caring person.

My passion for working with children first began in year 10, when I completed my work experience at a local nature nursery. I enjoyed setting up activities for the children to learn and develop. I worked alongside practitioner’s to meet the needs of children and support their development. This experience led me to a decision of completing my level 3 in early years at Brockenhurst College. I thoroughly enjoyed learning about child development and how children acquire skills. I completed 100 hours in a local primary school over a 4 week placement, where I worked with children 6-7 years. I completed daily reading with the children, enjoyed teaching phonics and carrying out my own activities. I also completed a 200 hour placement at a local nursery, with children 0-4 years 11 months. I spent time in the baby room, carrying out sensory activities and meeting the individual needs of each child. I shadowed practitioner’s to learn skills on how to support children. I learnt the basic care needs for babies and young toddlers. I also spent time in the pre-school room, helping children with school readiness. I completed many activities with children. Since completing my level 3 I have started as a practitioner in a local nursery.
