Babysitters in Johnstone

| Sophie , from Johnstone, i just turned 18 in June. I don’t have any experience babysitting for families, although i’ve basically brought up my little sister with my mum as she is a single parent and works throughout the week. So i often get my sister up and ready for school, take her to the bus stop, get her off the bus and then prepare dinner and help with homework etc. I’m fully knowledgeable in the kitchen, meal prep tasks and so on. | I am currently an Ecology student at Edinburgh University but returned home to Glasgow. I have a recent PVG check due my voluntary work with schoolchildren for the RSPB. I also have previous experience looking after large groups of children, aged 7-16, in American summer camps for 10 weeks at a time. At these camps I was required to provide 24 hour care and run activities during the day. I was specifically hired to teach climbing and art. I have a certificate of higher education in General Arts and enjoy doing special effects makeup and painting in my spare time. I love working with children and would be more than happy to help out with families currently needing childcare support in the current crisis.

| I have a lot of experience with looking after children. This is because I babysit for my older cousin. She has six children at the moment and has another on the way. I am good with the meal preparations as I used to work as a chef. I know how to keep children occupied by organising fun activities like painting pictures and other fun games. I am to start college to study to be a nursery teacher. I am able to put children to bed and tidy up. My skills include patience, caring, communication, listening, honest, punctual, loving, hard working, cooking, baking, organisation, an amazing personality and consistency. I would be very great full to have the opportunity to look after children. It would allow parents some parent time and at the same time allows me more experience for future when I hopefully work in a nursery. I would be amazed if I could have the chance to show just how great I am at looking after kids.

| I am patient, polite and understanding. I understand dealing with kids especially at an early stage can be challenging, hence I invest mostly in my communication skills so as I can understand them better and speak their language while I make sure they turn out to be well mannered, confident, respectful, and resourceful youths. Most importantly I emphasis on their education both physical education and academics as important tools for their future and health.

| I qualified as an early learning and Childcare officer in 2015. I then went on to live and work abroad with children aged 3 to 5. I lived in Qatar for 6 years where I worked my way up to a team leader role. I was in charge of 100 children and 10 members of staff. I planned age appropriate activities and experiences as well as trips out to the beach, park, soft play etc. I loved working in the middle east and being a part of children learning from all over the world, getting a British education so early on in life. I moved back to Scotland in July 2021 and have been working for Renfrewshire Council in an early years setting since September 2021. I observe and plan amazing experiences for the children and love watching them develop emotionally and socially as well as educationally. I love baking with them and constantly encourage creativity through arts, crafts, music and drama. I am a loyal and kind person who is so passionate about my job. I love going into work and spending valuable time with the children. I have grown close to the children and their parents over the last year. I am looking for some evening and weekend babysitting roles to continue my passion in my personal life.

| I have 5+ years experience working in childcare settings, working with children from the age of 3 months - 14 years. I started a nursery apprenticeship in January 2017 and became a fully qualified early years practitioner in 2018. My main focus when watching after children is that they are safe and having fun. I always have a fun activity planned sometimes it can be messy play and other times it can be as simple as reading a book but I always ensure the children in my care are happy, safe and having as much fun as possible. Before I started my apprenticeship I would babysit in the Johnstone area for friends and family. | I undertook an apprenticeship in early learning and childcare svq level 3 at AbbyMill Childcare, I was then kept on as a qualified childcare practitioner in the 2-3 playroom. I gained 6 years experience in the nursery environment. I recently left to take on a new challenge at college for sports therapy and would love to be able to still care for children on my free time.

| I’m a very patient and outgoing person, i previously studied childcare and care in highschool and would like to start making a career out of it, at one point i was going to study to becoming a child practitioner/nursery worker but chose to work in retail for a while to make sure that it was definitely something i am interested in and i realise it definitely is, i have lots of younger relatives and i have also previously done some work experience in nurseries. preferably in Paisley/ Johnstone but willing to commute, though i am not yet driving.
