My name is Ishani. I am a third year law student at the University of Edinburgh. During term, I am seeking to find a babysitting job in Edinburgh. I am very flexible with hours and times. I have experience of looking after children, having volunteered in the Robert Gordon's College After School Club from October 2015 to May 2019.
I volunteered in After School Club for one hour each week. In my role I was responsible for playing with the children and being a helping hand whenever a child was in need. This allowed me to experience working in a fast-paced environment where I had to tackle and reach solutions when problems occurred. I would play games with the children, read with them and help with their homework. I chose to do this volunteering as part of my Duke of Edinburgh Award. Completing my Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award meant I had to balance volunteering, a sport and a skill each week alongside my academics. This refined my time management skills and instilled a strong sense of reliability in me when I commit to an activity. I would bring this sense of reliability to any babysitting job.
