After School Care Ilfracombe

| From the age of 14, I would babysit my nephew and niece before and after school. During school I underwent health and social care. I then moved onto college to complete level 2 childcare which required to have two days a week in a school as work experience. I then undertook level 3 teaching and learning, which I spent 3 days a week in a school and nursery as work experience. When I finished college I worked in a nursery for 2 years, as an apprentice which the qualification I undertook is now complete. I have recently left the nursery looking for more and different opportunities working with children :) I am DBS checked and have a Level 3 paediatric first aid training. Due to only handing in my notice recently I won’t be available until my end date, 15th September 2022. I have my own transportation.

| Looking after children and helping them to learn and develop is such a rewarding job, every day you are with them is amazing as you are helping them to learn new things every single day. By showing positive encouragement and praise throughout helps them to continue their development which will encourage them to grow more independent and more confident, which I enjoy watching and being apart of. I am level 3 qualified in childcare and I have a paediatric first aid and food hygiene certificates, both at level 2. I am currently working at a nursery which is unfortunately closing on the 27th of July as is no longer financially viable to keep open. I have previously worked in breakfast and after school clubs, in a nursery on bank and a mobile crèche. During completion of my courses I was fortunate to have the chance to work in various settings including different nursery's and schools. I have also done a lot of babysitting for family and friends as well as other people on holiday or down for an event that I was recommended to.

| I have worked as a Nanny for 3 families. I used to drop off and pick up from school and take to after school clubs and do homework with the children. I would cook for the children only and do housework for the children e.g. making their beds, helping tidy their rooms and sorting their washing. I would do bath time and bedtime stories. I would plan fun things to do at trips to the park, beach and play dates. We would also do creative activities and reading practice. I have also worked in a pre school and a day nursery working with children from 6 weeks to 4 years as a supervisor.

| I have worked within a nursery for a year. Being with children form 3 months form 4 years old. I spend lots time with all the children in setting getting know them well. I also work at a rest bite centre with children and young adults who have additional needs. During this job I make sure all of thier person care needs are met but while also gaining a strong bond with all the children. I have also had experience babysitting for my younger cousin for afternoon sessions when there mum was at work. The skills I have learnt is to be a good communicator with the parents beause this helps messages get passed along. I also love doing trips out with the children to the park, playground or their local woods. I am a very creative person and love doing different art activities with children in my care. I love making different resources to do messy plag with especially in a tough tray.

| Well firstly I used to work in a primary school at an mta for two years, and also have a 10 year old son myself so I'm fantastic with children, I used to work in Braunton after school club as a playworker as well as a primary school so have recent full dbs if required please email me thanks Mandy
