This is a paid position, 4 shifts a week, holiday cover.   10am 4pm. If at first you cannot understand K, he has a IPad or laminated piece of paper with a keyboard layout on it and he will “spell” it out for you.  K is usually in bed when you arrive,  It is a good timed to clear away plates, glasses and cups from the table in the living room. Clean table down in the living room. K has a Tassimo coffee machine because he is a coffee snob and likes to have coffee, orange juice and water before his bath. Please place straws in each drink. Prepare K’s breakfast:  K will tell you when he would like his breakfast. Cut up K’s food fairly small and then help him eat. The rest is up to you as and when you feel it’s best to do it.... Make his bed so it’s tidy, it helps if you fold over the top left hand corner slightly so that he can get in easier. Clean kitchen work tops down, when K’s finished coffee and breakfast clean table. At some point K will tell you when he is ready to have a wash. Here are some basics: K will already be undressed for bathing. He can be left alone if he wants to use the toilet and will let you know when he is ready to come off. When he tells you he is ready wheel in the wheelchair near the bathroom. K lifts himself off the toilet now he needs no help cleaning because he has a new self-cleaning toilet.  K will position himself on his knees in front of the sink, his back facing you. Wheel the wheelchair in so that he can lift himself and sit on it. In the meantime get a towel and flannel out of cupboard next to the toilet ready for bathing.  Additionally get K’s clothes ready (he will tell you whether he wants a t-shirt/hoody/jumper/shirt) and also if he wants a coat. Get a pair of jeans and socks (no need for pants). K can now get himself in and out of the bath, once he is in the bath, in a kneeling position he needs to be washed, shaved and teeth brushed .  Please use Sanex to wash K..
