Special Needs Care Jobs in Leeds

We are looking for a special needs carer who is kind, patient and reliable for our 15 year old son with autism. Experience with positive behaviour support is desirable. hours from 3-7 pm Monday to Friday.

I need someone to stay 2 hours weekdays after school with my son. He is very active, so would be great if could go for a walk, play football or teach him to do exercises. Enzo was diagnosed with Niemann Pick type c, a neurodegenerative disorder very similar with childhood alzheimer. He struggles to communicate and has epilepsy, but is very loving and easy going. Would love to find someone to stay with him while I am taking care of dinner and house durtties.

He has only minor physical disabilities but poor co-ordination and needs constant attention. He talks constantly and to everyone he meets. Assessed as needing 2:1 as very occasionally expresses his frustration physically. preferred activity swimming.

I need help with all aspects of life from feeding to dressing to personal care and mobility - particularly in the afternoon/early evening after school on Thursdays (5pm-8pm). At weekends, love to swim, go horse riding and go to the cinema. You would: Support to get dressed and the toilet Support to eat Accompany to the Cinema or other activities such as the park, music shows, picnics Sing! Other information: We need someone who is experienced in working with someone with behaviors that can at times be challenging We live in Leeds.

Someone who is happy, calm, patient and has SEN experience to join us on fun activities, trips out. Occasionally sit at home while I shop or go out especially during school holidays.

Carer will be required to feed, do bathing and all personal care. Medication to be administered. Knowledge of epilepsy essential Will be required to use hoist and learn to use special positioning equipment
