I am a social worker supporting my client to find additional care support where his current Personal Assistant cannot cover these hours. He has diagnoses of Learning Disability, Parkinson's Disease and Schizophrenia with associated physical disabilities. His Schizophrenia is managed by medication. He also has a bowel condition and requires his food to be pureed. He lives with his elderly sister who provides significant support. He will require assistance with personal care (washing, dressing, brushing teeth), medication, meals, going to the toilet, mobilising around his home, as well as social/emotional support. Support would be required 5 pm - 9 pm Wednesday - Friday, and 9 am - 5 pm Saturday - Sunday. This comes to a total of about 28 hours per week. I have issues with balance and walking any distance but my main issue is extreme fatigue so I need help to manage that so I have a little energy for my 5 year old son.
