It’s £11.44p/h; part time job with the hours per week varying and split between the team. Generally, it would be coming in for a bit in the morning and/or in the evening. Shifts should last no longer than 1/1.5hrs but can be potentially longer if going out (e.g. to appointments).
Day to day duties include cooking, cleaning, walking the dog, helping Charlotte shower, organising her appointments (making phone calls), sorting her medication out etc. In the week, you may also need to help Charlotte out into the community to do activities she enjoys and to various appointments.
Charlotte is an ambulatory wheelchair user, so she can walk a small amount, however her mobility is severely limited. Charlotte has quite a few medical conditions, both visible and not visible, so it’s important to have someone who is empathetic to this but not afraid to help motivate her when needed.
The main thing for Charlotte is to have someone who can have a chat and a laugh with her, and sarcasm is a bonus, but will also make sure things are being kept organised and keep on top of what needs to be done.
It would also be great if you shared some interests with Charlotte, shes into anything creative like art and music.
The job is particularly suited to people who are looking for second shift work, or work around children. It’s a job thats well suited to fitting in around your schedule. Care experience is preferred but not necessary for the right candidate.
