I live in Glasgow temple. Due to a family emergency we are looking for a pet sitter who has experience with anxious dogs to look after our 3 year old shiba inu Kira. She is very friendly with people and loves cuddles on the couch. Fully house broken and will do various tricks on command. Unfortunately she is quite reactive with dogs she doesn't know, and has a tenancy to reasourse guard random items. We will show you what we have been doing to manage this safely. The resource guarding has improved significantly with training but has a tendancy to flair up again when she is anxious. This will be her first time away from both of us so that's likely to be the case. She responds well to positive reinforcement and distraction with treats and play. Other than her 2 walks and occasional zoomies she is pretty chill and quite content to relax on the couch with her people. Very rarely barks. Willing to be flexible with whatever arrangements suit.
