Loving Dog Sitter Wanted in B98 Redditch

by Savannah • Redditch
Lainey is a black labrador who just turned one year old and she is everything we wanted from our first dog! I work from home 3x a week, but I'm looking for someone who can visit Lainey at our house in Redditch on Tuesdays and Wednesdays when I am in the office for 1-2 hours in the afternoon (or longer if you'd prefer to stay the day). Currently, Lainey is crated on those days and I come home on my lunch break to let her outside for the toilet, feed her lunch, and a quick play. But when I do this, she only gets 35 minutes out of the crate, ans I think she would benefit from being out of the crate for longer, from about 11-1, or 12 onwards. You could take her for a walk or just play in the house or garden. This would give me peace of mind that she is not left alone for too long on those days. And she is great company! You can help yourself to tea and biscuits too. Lainey has a very playful nature and loves to play fetch with a ball in the garden and also play 'chase me' and 'hide and seek' with her toys, and 'find it' with treats. We always have plenty of enrichment toys and chews to keep her occupied. Even with her playful nature, she is extremely obedient and well trained. She completed her basic puppy training and also reached expert level in the APDT Good Companion dog training achieving rosettes in foundation, intermediate and expert - all before 6 months old. She is almost too clever for her own good. She is still very young so she gets very excited and has a lot of energy which we love. I'm looking for someone who is happy to be consistent with her dog training so that she doesn't learn any bad habits or go backwards in the progress we've made. When I was at uni I used to do borrow my doggy and I would sit with a lovely grey hound during the day, go on a nice walk and then finish my studies at their house. It was lovely to be trusted in this way and have a routine that involved dogs. So I hope I can give that experience to someone else. If you get on well and enjoy visiting, you are also welcome to visit on afternoons when I'm working from home too to take Lainey out if you want to. We are looking for someone who can come consistently either every Tuesday or Tuesday and Wednesday though, so please only message if you can commit to this. Thank you We have a small budget and would looking to pay £10 a day (for an hour or more) You can come over when I am working from home initially to meet Lainey and me.
