Currently family care for the gentleman in his own home between the hours of 7pm and 8am. We currently have care for 7-9 hours during the day - usually 5 days per week. We employ carers directly. We are looking to expand our team for the gentleman with one more suitable carer who is versatile and willing to swap and change shifts with other carers to do alternate weekends and some week day hours so we have 24 hour care available. THIS WILL BE YOUR ONLY EMPLOYMENT. For nights- most nights are sleeping nights though there are occasions when the gentleman will need assistance toileting. We are looking to employ one more carer who will do varying shifts, some day, evening and some overnights. We need as little change and disruption to his routine so we are not causing confusion. You will need to have EXCELLANT COMMUNICATION skills IN ENGLISH both oral and written to handover summarise to next carer on shift and to keep a written record in the communication book. Carers MUST be clearly spoken in English as the gentleman is hard of hearing and struggles to process information with the dementia. Family circumstances are changing which means family need to rely more on carers to support keeping the gentleman at home. Hours are immediately available and we would be looking to gradually increase hours in the next 2 months with a view to full time hours by end of January. Carers will be directly employed by us on a payroll and a contract of employment stating holidays will be given. This is so we are not left without care. Any questions please ask.
