I am looking for someone to join our small team caring for my husband who has Lewy Body Dementia. At the moment the carer who is leaving, after 6 and a half years with us, works three nine hour shifts per week, working noon to 9pm on weekdays or 8am - 5pm at the weekend. (These hours are negotiable.) You must be caring, thoughtful, and want to make my husband’s life as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. He is immobile, and is raised using a Sara Stedy. You must have your own transport as we are located outside the village of Glencarse. We have an automatic VW Transporter with rear lift access, and it would be good if you could drive this, but it’s not essential. Please get in touch if the position is of interest to you.

We need a carer with elderly care experience and excellent references. My 84 year old mother has recently been hospitalized and is temporarily unable to live her normal independent lifestyle. You will be required to support her to get in and out of bed and to the bathroom during the nights as she is unsteady on her legs. She has carers that support her in the day time but needs some extra reassurance at night. She is working on rebuilding her strength with the intention of retaining her independence. She has been experiencing some night confusion but is usually sharp and highly capable. We need someone caring that will make her feel confident and secure.Would be great if you live in or near Perth PH1. You will be responsible for overall care for overnight from 10.30pm to 7am. Initially it will be temporary but may extend to more regular situation depending on rehabilitation progress - immediate requirements are for Sunday 21st - Wednesday 24th.
