Care Required for my 80 year old mother who has dementia in our 5 bedroom Bungalow. My mother is an amazing woman that spoke 7 languages and went out of her way to help anyone. We are looking for an equally amazing carer that has an open mind, patience positive energy and a real desire to care (sense of humour will definitely help) but desire to really care and help is really a must as well as being reliable, punctual, honest, independent with good decision making skills. Healthy meal preparation is a part of the job too. My mother isn’t on any medication and we really plan to keep it this way as long as possible so a healthy diet and ensuring she is fed and hydrated through the day is really paramount to this. Being active is a must as my mother really loves to walk and dance still and requires at least 1 hours worth of walking per day (typically over 2 walks). We are looking for someone initially to cover hours from 5th March until 3rd April. 10am to 6pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday Duties to include Washing Dressing Cleaning Taking my mother for a walk Preparing nutritious meals Helping with feeding Providing companionship Housekeeping Laundry Rate of pay available on request Hours Monday's 10am to 6pm Wednesday 10am to 6pm (every other week to 7pm) and Friday's 10am to 6pm. This is a temporary job with the possibility to become permanent for the right person. We as a family really need reliability and structure in our lives and so require a person that helps us bring this to the house in their care and their actions. We have a calm and friendly family home that includes myself, an 8 year old daughter that is super friendly and funny and my mother. We are really looking for someone that comes with stability to help us manage a situation that we never thought we would be in with my mother but one we are learning to accept and see the positive in what it brings to us too. There is no medication currently for my mother and we plan to keep her life as medication free as possible unless totally essential. To do this we rely on a lot of interaction with her and a nutritious diet as well as a healthy living environment with plenty of fresh air and exercise.
