Medication reminder for lady on arrival. Fridge supplies topped up as needed. Cheerful companionship, no heavy conversations. 4hrs three days a week. Keep to job description, do not change hours or schedule unless emergency. Likes to go window shopping and out for coffee. Enjoys laughter.

Shopping, companionship, safety etc. Likes going to the mall, shopping and happy companionship. Needs to be accompanied when outside because of memory loss. No personal care is required. Med check in am to ensure meds are taken. Mobilizes well. Tue, Thurs and one weekend day. £15hr plus mileage each shift. 4 hour shifts. 11-3pm.

81 year old lady with memory loss. Loves shopping and dancing. No requirement for personal care or housekeeping. Walks without assistance. This job is:- 1. to ensure her morning meds are taken when you arrive, 2. to take her back to her flat at 3:00pm. 3. Do not leave her downtown after your shift, even if she asks. 4. fill in her diary for her day. She will read it later to remind herself that she was out that day. 5. Give her a 10:30am phone call to remind her that you are coming that morning so she will stay at home until you arrive. 6. Hours 11:am - 3:00pm. Tuesday, Thursday, and a weekend shift. Sat or Sun as your prefer. 7. Don't send anyone else to pick her up or drop her off, this confuses her. 8. Don't take her to your personal home or leave your phone number with her, or she may call you off hours. This is an easy work if you have patience for someone repeating themselves. She is a harmless lady and no threat to any person. She needs someone with her to monitoring her safety when outdoors. Thank you!

Kay is 68, originally from Cambuslang, and is now living in very sheltered accommodation in Hamilton. Kay can still do many things herself, like make a cup of tea and crack a good joke. She is also still mobile and walks unaided, but her Huntington’s disease makes navigating about town a challenge, and having a companion beside her would be a practical and enjoyable way to maintain her independence and avoid isolation. Kay is assisted by her son, William, who lives and Switzerland and visits every 4 weeks. Most of the outings will mainly for recreation and getting out of the house, but occasionally, help to run and errand or attend and appointment may be required.
