We need an experienced, hard-working and responsible elderly care provider near Dingwall IV15. 5 days a week for 3 hours a day starting early afternoons for my 85 year old grandmother who can be quite difficult at times and has some mental in health issues which can arise occasionally but is general fine. Not needed on Wednesdays or Sundays. Services such as housekeeping, companionship (lunches, walks, chats, games etc), transportation and shopping will be part of this job. Looking for companionship for my mother. 10-3 2 days a week but this is flexible, the main thing is it needs to be regular. To provide respite for my dad. Responsibilities would be to: 1) Chat-mum gets anxiety when let alone even if dad in the house 2) My mum loves crafts- knitting/spinning/embroidery and filled her time with these and is having to relearn the skills so ability to help or be instructed or even just a love to learn these things would be great. 3) Take mum out to do shopping- have a rummage round charity shops, have a coffee and cake- all is in walking distance from house. 3) Take mum to leisure centre to swimming lesson/ exercise class or puffin pool. Help finding locker and getting dressed. 4) Help planning food and looking to see she is safe. Help finding things and forming a routine and organisation. Mum is not ready to be treated like an old person, she wants to be independent, it is essential the person is a companion not a carer.

My mum has had a stroke and has dementia. She is still mobile but wobbly, she needs help to get out as she keeps losing things and is not steady on her feet. She needs company as has anxiety and gets lonely even with dad in the house if he is doing other things. My dad has had a heart attack and is finding the day to day is leaving him frazzled. No personal care is needed but ideally the person should love crafts-especially knitting. They live in Dingwall IV15 and need someone who is reliable and trustworthy.
