Responsible Carer For Ex-Military Spinally Injured C5/C6 Wanted Hello! Here's what we are looking for: a responsible, reliable, and hard-working care provider with a little experience who lives near Cheddar. My wife and I stay at Cheddar on an ad-hoc basis. We are looking for someone who can help with Personal Care (E. G. Bathing; dressing; putting in wheelchair etc). I have a ceiling track hoist and a wheel-in wet-room. The tasking is not difficult, (apart from dealing with my sense of humour) and takes about an 1 hr 15 mins to complete. My wife is here to assist, so you won't be left in the lurch as it were. As I say, the job, (it’s not really a job, more like a holiday for you… it is!!) is approx 1hr to 1 hr 15 mins depending on how much we chat, To explain the ad-hoc, it depends when we visit, and for how long. Usually about a week, every 2-3 weeks, depending. So, if I phone you up, (usually a week or so beforehand), and you're available, or only partly available great. If not, I'll understand; that's fine. I am a wheelchair user who has MS but can currently weight bear. I need assistance to shower, dry and dress in the mornings while staying in Cheddar. I currently visit around 2 weeks in every five but this is variable - I can give advance notice of visits to suit us both. I would prefer to be up around 9 a. M. But this is negotiable. If you can swim and assist with that, it would be a bonus.
