Opportunity available working for a family local to Wantage. Helping a mother and her 5 year old child who has some additional needs, however attends the local mainstream school. Weekend duties include being part of family life along with supporting required care for the little girl through play, learning, everyday routines like bath time and meals. Light housework/housekeeping duties are involved to help keep the home generally tidy and in order. Running errands, getting outside for fresh air with the little one and helping with the family’s pets (one cat and a small dog) is part of the set up so the mother’s help must be happy to give these two family members some attention and affection as well! School days are similar but obviously much more structured and will involve a drop off and pick up at a nearby (walking distance) after school class during term time and play dates when required, which will all be very local. Additional hours ad hoc would be desirable, however this is not a deal breaker. Applicant must have good organisation skills and an adaptable, relaxed manner whilst being efficient and able to multitask when needed! Job can be shared (if required) and work days discussed in the upcoming interview process.
