We're looking for a bright, capable, flexible and caring person to help us look after our 2.5 year old son, two Norfolk Terriers and lovely home. Things we need help with include childcare, cleaning, ironing, walking the dogs and a bit of babysitting. Rather than hire a number of people, each for a couple of hours, we're looking for a "one stop shop" person who is prepared to roll up their sleeves and help out. We have had a great lady helping us for the last 12 months, but she needs a hip operation and will be off for at least 7 weeks. We need someone to start in April, provide cover for May, June and possibly part of July. There are also times when our current Nanny/Mother's Help is away (holidays, sickness etc.) or we need extra support and she is busy. So we see the relationship continuing after July, just on a more ad hoc basis. The role is part time. It's two days per week (10-16 hours). Currently these are Tuesday and Friday, but there is some flexibility on these days if needed. We run our own business, so these hours May go up in busy times and down if we are away on holiday. The role would suit someone who already works part time or has children at school. We're looking for someone who can work: 9.30am - 4.30pm. Whilst experience is great, we're really interested in finding the right person. We see this as a long term family relationship. It's based on mutual trust, goodwill and respect for each other. So for us it's about the person and the fit. We're looking for a non smoker, who likes dogs and you need to be able to drive and have your own transport as we live in a rural area.
