I have a rare vacancy in my intimate childminding setting as a childminding assistant. I am looking to find a caring and reliable member to welcome to our ladybug team! We care for lots of little people between the ages of 0-4 years that need our help to provide lots of fun and exciting opportunities to encourage each one to flourish and develop to their full potential. The perfect candidate will slot into our already busy daily life and be able to use their initiative and think on their feet. As you will know the parents love to know about their child’s day so you will be required to update the parents throughout the day via the app and also be confident to build relationships with the parents at handover time. Our aim is to create the best relationships with the families and offer A* childcare. Duties - Supervise and engage with children in a safe and nurturing environment. - Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development. - Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative approach to childcare. - Manage daily routines including meal times, nap times, and playtime. - Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the childcare area, ensuring it is safe for all children. - Provide leadership by guiding children in social interactions and conflict resolution. - Drive to various locations if required for outings or activities (valid driving licence preferred). - Document children's progress and communicate any concerns to parents or guardians as necessary. Essential criteria - Full UK Driving License - Level 2/3 Nursery Practitioner - Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable - A background in early childhood education is essential, with an excellent understanding of the EYFS Criteria - Ability to manage groups of children while maintaining a calm and positive atmosphere. - Leadership qualities that inspire trust and respect among children. - A genuine love for working with young children and a commitment to their development.
