Babysitting Jobs in Long Hanborough

Hi, I have recently moved to long hanborough and looking for a babysitter/nanny/Childminder to start in January to look after predominantly my 5 year old little boy. I do also have my 12 year son however he will take him self off to school and come home. I'm looking for ideally an hour in the morning then to drop off at school and to pick up from school in long hanborough 3 hours after school until I come home from work. We are seeking a nurturing nanny who would love to help raise our three young girls, aged 5, 2 and newborn. The ideal candidate is passionate about the early years and is committed to making a positive difference in the lives of the children in their care. You are patient and thrive in an environment with 3 children who are different ages. If you’re a reliable nanny who loves working with young children, we’d love to hear from you. RESPONSIBILITIES - Organise creative activities and educational games (e.g., drawing, crafting, and arts and crafts). - Prepare and feed children's meals, including bottle-feeding for babies. - Change diapers and assist with potty training. - Schedule and facilitate nap times. - Teach appropriate social behaviours and help with child-related chores. - Tidy up play areas and children's rooms. - Ensure children's safety during indoor and outdoor activities. - Take care of children in case of injury or illness. - Collaborate with parents to ensure children's growth and social development. Optional: If you have a car and a clean driver's license, transport children to and from the playground or activities. REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS - Previous experience as a nanny, childminder or au pair, or has worked in a nursery - You love being a nanny and would choose to work with children over working in an office environment any day - Excellent understanding of child development (from 0 to 5+) - Empathic and highly attuned to children's needs - Effectively communicates with both the children and the parents - Can be calm and patient when children are emotional. Support the children in a way that minimises stress and encourages cooperation. - Mindful communicator and intentionally uses language that builds a child's confidence and abilities - Organised and capable of fulfilling duties and completing tasks efficiently. - Excellent multi-tasking skills - Can deliver high-quality one-on-one time with each child, but can also manage with sole charge of 3 kids from time to time during school holidays - Safety-conscious with first aid certification being a plus. - Availability for additional evening babysitting work once a month enabling parents to have a date night

ABOUT THE FAMILY We are a family based in the pretty village of Long Hanborough and are seeking a flexible and versatile mothers helper or nanny to support our family. My husband is a busy tech director and mother needs support with the children. We have two girls, one aged 3 and the other is a newborn. ABOUT THE ROLE This is a weekday part-time role, which can be 3 - 5 days per week, with hours between 8am - 3pm. This role is great for mothers' helpers or nannies who like a routine and various things happening in the day. It’s a combination of sole charge and joint care with Mum, so it’s important you feel confident caring for a newborn or 3 year old alone, and enjoy looking after little ones with their mother as a team. During term time, daily routine consists of the 3 year old being in nursery 8am - 1.15pm Monday - Thursday. Mother will be away for some of that period to do school runs and take care of other family errands. This gives you the opportunity to have sole charge with the newborn, bond with the baby and carry out nursery duties. The afternoons and school holidays will be your opportunity to play with a 3 year old and have fun days out with the girls. You can do this on your own or with the mother.
