| As far back as I can remember, I have always enjoyed interpersonal interaction. As a professional journalist, I also had numerous opportunities to teach the English language at various language centers, schools, and two universities. Furthermore, I also had the opportunity to be a 5th grade homeroom teacher at a school in the UAE, as well as an after-school group tutor. I am comfortable working with the elderly, as well as children of all ages. Lastly, and although educators are rarely renumerated based on the amount of effort and care they put into the profession, my reward has always been the personal satisfaction I receive when offering the needed services to all parties concerned. | Hello! I'm Paula, I am a Portuguese international student at Niagara College, with 3 years of tutoring experience and two other university degrees under my belt. Over the past three years, I have accompanied several students through either their highschool or intermediate school years, 2-10 hours each week, which allowed me to establish a very positive work relationship with them, adjust my teaching style to their needs, and watch them develop their skills and become better students over time.
