| I have an Integrated Studies degree focused on languages, literature, and linguistics. I have strong reading, writing, and oral communication skills. I volunteered in elementary schools both while in high school and when my children were small. Later I home schooled my children, both of whom went on to post-secondary schools. I am patient and creative, and always try to present information in a variety of ways to help my students understand.

| My name is Tyessa and I am a 20 years old. I am studying Child and Youth Studies at Brock University and want to become an elementary school teacher in the future. I also play competitive volleyball and I love being active by working out at the gym. I kept an average of 87 percent in high school for English, along with college and university English credits in the high 70's. I studied Kinesiology at Sheridan College so I have a good background in science as well. I have had a lot of volunteer experience coaching house league for indoor volleyball and beach volleyball from ages 7 to 16, demonstrating and providing my knowledge of the game. I played the piano to level 6 at the Niagara Conservatory of Music. I teach myself to play songs on the piano ever since I stopped taking lessons. In high school, I also played the alto saxophone from grades 10 to 12.
