Special Needs Care in Dunnville

| Hello, my name is Candice and I am an educational assistant. My passion for working with special needs youth and young adults started in my grade 11 year in high school. I started an inclusion club where two individuals with down syndrome became involved and socialized with the rest of the school. The club has won many awards and I am very proud. I have also been a camp counsellor for a camp for over 4 years and each of those years, I was the designated special needs worker. Needless to say I have a lot of experience with working with special needs. I tend to always have an amazing connection with every individual I work with. I now have a full time job working at a day program for special need adults where I help individuals with daily activities and routines. I am looking for some outside of work experience for afternoons and weekends with individuals with special needs.

| Hello! I am a 20-year-old university. Over the summer, I am looking forward to spending time with your loved one! I have one year of experience working with adults with developmental and cognitive disorders in a group home setting and have worked with children for years. I love the outdoors, playing music, and crafts! Some of my interests include Philosophy, and Psychology, both of which I am working towards for my degree. Some of the qualifications I have obtained are - Level 2 first-aid certificate - mental health first aid certificate - non-violent crisis intervention certificate I look forward to new opportunities and experiences as I get to know the community and your family!

| My passion for working with special needs started when I was an LIT for the childrens aid society at their summer camp. From there I started a club in my highschool for students with special needs. I went to college to become an educational assistant. Before getting a job with a school bored, I worked at a special needs day program for adults. I now work with the hwcdsb, and have a few clients I work with out in the community

| Clients always come first to me . I take the time to listen and spend time doing stuff that they like to do ex walks crafts or hair being done . Baking for the clients as well . I also go shopping for them as they can’t always go out .
