Hello, my name is Candice and I am an educational assistant. My passion for working with special needs youth and young adults started in my grade 11 year in high school. I started an inclusion club where two individuals with down syndrome became involved and socialized with the rest of the school. The club has won many awards and I am very proud. I have also been a camp counsellor for a camp for over 4 years and each of those years, I was the designated special needs worker. Needless to say I have a lot of experience with working with special needs. I tend to always have an amazing connection with every individual I work with. I now have a full time job working at a day program for special need adults where I help individuals with daily activities and routines. I am looking for some outside of work experience for afternoons and weekends with individuals with special needs.
