Special Needs Care in Cochrane

| I have experience working with a team to implement strategies to support the child and their families. I'm experienced with FSCD and PUF. I love neurodiverse kids, and I enjoy learning to see the world through their eyes.

I have a passion working with special needs children, whether that's engaging with them in activities or on an individual basis. I think its important incorporating music, art, and the outdoor activities into the day to help children with creativity, expression, and physical activity. I have experience working with special needs children through infinite resources as a special needs assistant which was located in Edmonton Alberta. Some of the tasks that took place at this special needs camp was engaging with special needs children on an individual basis in a pleasant manner, monitoring the children during activities, enforcing the rules while the activities were being performed. I was also was a Nanny in Cochrane for a year for three girls ages two, eight, and twelve. The youngest was special needs. Some of my daily tasks includes; preparing healthy meals for the children, organizing games and other activities for all the children, performing household cleaning duties throughout the day, and also driving the children to their extracurricular activities.

| Both personal and professional experience working with people with Special Needs. I am a certified teacher working in an inclusion classroom during the year full time. I have volunteering experience working in inclusion and adapted sports and Special Olympics. I have a passion for working with and supporting others in education, life skills and having an active life. Would love to support where I can during the summer months and evenings.

| I have been a special needs educator for over 20 years in schools in Quebec. More specifically, I have held positions in specialized classes for children with mild, moderate and severe intellectual disabilities, for children with Down syndrome, autism spectrum disorder. These years of experience have allowed me to acquire knowledge and skills in intervention, stimulation, support and animation with children with special needs. The well-being of children is essential to me, as is teamwork and collaboration with staff members and parents. My main language is French, but I communicate well in English without embarrassment and with confidence :)
