| My name is lauri , i relocated to ooysoos bc as i have a house in the cottages . I lived in edmonton all my life . After high school i started working in senior homes serving meals to the residents . I eventally worked my way up to dining room manager and loved my job . I then got another part time job working with home instead going to there homes for companionship , i really enjoyed that and i knew this job was for me as i love to put a smile on there face and make a difference in someones life . 20 years later im still working with seniors and love every minute of it .

| I have given care to families with small children ranging in age from one month to 5 years. This was live-in care and I provided 24 hour care. I have also given over a years care to the elderly. I have provided complete live-in care for a senior with a stroke and vascular dementia and limited physical and mental ability. This care continued all the way to palliative care to the end of her life. She spend her remaining days as comfortable as possible with constant care.

| I love spending time with senior citizens & listening to all the stories they have to tell. I recently moved back to the Okanagan after being on the coast for 22 yrs!
