Senior Care in North Vancouver

| To Whom It May Concern, I am very interested in working more with the elderly. I am a kind, honest, fun, compassionate person, a terrific listener and love my job! My experience is as follows: Several years ago I worked with a lady who resided at a Lodge in West Vancouver. She had dementia and was in the hospital ward. I fed her, kept her company and helped her with grooming. Another lady I looked after in her own home in West Vancouver. I made meals, did light housework, and drove her to errands and appointments. She has Alzheimer's, and gets confused easily. I also worked as a caregiver for a lovely client who had a stroke and dementia, and was also prone to seizures. I kept her company, fed her, changed her, and bathed her. Also did light housework and pick up supplies as required. One of my other clients, is 83 lives in her own home. She has dementia, depression, and has a horrible back and stomach pain. I made meals, and did dishes and laundry, and was a companion on outings. I also worked as a caregiver to a gentleman at Evergreen in North Vancouver. He has water on the brain and has balance and memory issues, he is in a wheel chair. I feed and groom him, and take him out for fresh air and outings. Another client is 90 and lives at a Gardens, and I have more a companion role with her. We go for outings, chat, and play Rummy Tiles. I have been working as a Caregiver/Companion for over seven years part time. While my other past experience on my resume has been in an office setting, it has always been dealing with people. I really do love my work, and know I make a big difference in the quality of my client's lives. I would like to meet with you, so I can share my enthusiasm and compassion in this field. | 4yrs experience overseas in this field and still working, I’m a Massage therapist with experience as well, My Job experiences give me a lot of knowledge in handling Stroke person, techniques in physical exercises, properly assist a disabled person in their daily living, I care religiously for Elder people in exchange for my Father’s death, and it becomes my Passion. I ‘am presently working here in Hong Kong and willing to process my documents needed for my application, I can work as soon as possible. My previous and current Job here in Hong Kong are similar, I care for a stroke patient, but my first Employer is an old man, a stroke survivor with dementia and hypertension. I regularly check vital signs, inject insulin, administer medication, accompanying him to all appointments, help him with his exercises, feed, bathe him, prepare and serve food. My current employer is an old woman, She became my grandmother in our company, the job description is almost the same, only injecting the insulin that she doesn’t have, Share with her a strong faith is one that challenges me but blessed me, She is emotionally weak so being lovely and funny made our relationship strong.

| I've been looking after elderly for almost 9 years. Total of two pairs of elderly couples and considered the whole family like mine. It's been a very interesting journey for me being able to look after and give genuine care and love to these couples. I do take them to doctors appointment. Practically help them with all daily living assistance they needed (online grocery shopping,plan and cook healthy meals, and household chores that needs to be done) Administer daily medication and exercises (walking). I was content and happy with all the families I was with because I was treated like a family and we've always had an open communication on things to decide for their parents.
