My name is Morgan and I am looking for a meaningful full time job offering companionship/caregiving support to an older adult living in the community or in an assisted living/residential facility. My previous work experience involves working at a non-profit health organization supporting individuals living with dementia and their families. I have extensive training, experience, and education surrounding person-centred care, dementia and neurocognitive disorders, psychology (with an emphasis on counselling), crisis intervention, and gerontology. My goal is support your family member in having as much of a quality of life as possible, engage them in activities that are meaningful to them, and provide opportunities for them to connect with a trusting, caring person and feel valued. Additionally, my role would enable supportive family members the opportunity to engage in their own self-care and get respite from their day-to-day caregiving duties.
