| I have worked with children all my life. The second oldest of five children, it was often my responsibility to help out with my three younger siblings. At the age of 12, I began babysitting local children varying in age from newborns to 10 years old and continued to do so throughout high school and university. In January 2020, at the age of 22, I then made the decision to move to New York City and work as an au pair (live-in nanny) for 18 months. I looked after the sweetest little girl, aged 3.5 years when I arrived and 5 years old when I left in July 2021. I also cooked meals for the family five days a week during this time. Throughout these childcare experiences, I honed in on my time management skills, my patience, and my problem-solving abilities. I also developed an absolute love for children and helping them grow into well-mannered, fun-loving little individuals. My love for children is matched only with my desire to provide them with a happy, fulfilling life and I hope to bring this spirit to whichever family I work with next.
