| Hello there! I'm a Mexican based in Revelstoke, looking for some extra work while I'm waiting for my certificates to be transferred to work as a Kindergarten teacher. I've been working as an aupair/nanny/casual babysitter for the last 5 years since I finished my degree in Mexico. I love to hang out with kids and in the meantime learn lots from them and teach them anything they want to learn about. I am studying to be a preschool and primary teacher at the University of Montreal. I decided to take a break this year so I could enjoy the beautiful outdoors in BC. | I am originally from the UK, I have worked with children all over the world. I started off in my travels in Ghana and Nepal where I volunteered teaching children English, after that I worked as a camp counsellor in Florida, which was a lot of fun. After my time in America I decided to become a live-in Aupair In Seattle for a year, the kids at the time were age 3,5,7,7 and 10. We are all still very close and I visit them regularly as family friends. I worked at a daycare for kids under 1 in New Zealand, which I loved and finally I've been a ski instructor for children from 2 years old up to teenagers and adults in Australia and Canada.

My most recent childcare role was in Victoria BC for a family with three children – ages 2, 4, and 6. I worked Monday – Friday with these kiddos, ensuring that I was providing them with a safe, fun, and stimulating environment. My core responsibilities were to ensure that they were up and ready for the day - dressed, breakfast eaten, teeth brushed – all the while, preparing snacks and lunches for the day ahead, as well as planning and implementing the fun activities for the day – be it going to the local water parks, going for hikes or bike rides, or doing at-home activities like arts and crafts or even dance parties! During the school year, I was responsible for drop-offs and pickups from their schools, while taking care of the youngest while the other two boys were in school. The role of this family’s nanny was truly a pleasure. It taught me patience, flexibility, structure, and above all, it taught me the importance of routine.
