Child Care in High River

| My name is Laura and I am a high school graduate of 2015. Through the duration of my final year in high school I was entrusted to care for my English teacher's three children ranging from ages 2-12. My duties were to provide homework help, pick them up from school, clean, cook, bathe, and put them to bed. I was chosen due to the high standards at which I hold myself, striving to consistently show dedication, motivation, and reliability. I developed close and trusting bonds with the children and still remain close to the family. I have a valid GDL driver's license and a spotless driving record, as well as no criminal history and exceptional references, and am CPR & First Aid certified. I am linguistically inclined and would assist children with developing literacy skills, as well as promoting an active lifestyle. I have always had a passion for working with children and have years upon years of informal experience assisting with the care of children. I am soft-spoken, empathetic, and very energetic. I am able to work a flexible schedule and work with you to provide convenient and quality childcare!

| I am very passionate about working with children. I graduated with a Bachelors of Elementary Education at the University of Regina in 2016 and have spent the last year and a half traveling all over the world and more recently Guest Teaching with Foothills School Division. I have lots of nieces and nephews and cousins that I regularly spend time with and look after, I have years of experience caring for children and babysitting. | I have a international child care certificate/child social worker. I am also a certified Healthcare Aid. I have 4 boys of my own, 33, 31, 26 and 16 years old, not to forget my granddaughter). I worked for over 5 years in a dayhome and at home child day care. I love working/playing with children. I am now doing some private care with seniors. I have worked for seniors for over 10 years. I am a very caring, loving and compassionate person. Really enjoy making people feel comfortable, helping parents/kids feel relaxed when I have been appointed as the caregiver.

| My family has resided in High River since 1970, and I had my first babysitting job at the age of 10. My last babysitting job was October 2018 where I was a live-in nanny due to the parents being away until they returned home May 2019. I love animals as well. References can be provided. I have a clear criminal record check and clear driving record. I am physically fit due to the tons of walking I do around town and by the river. I am currently obtaining my CPR etc.

| I live in Okotoks. Loving & nurturing, I enjoy caring for young children and have worked with various ages up to 11 yrs of age. I've also worked with kids and adults with developmental disabilities. I had a day home for 16 years while living in Calgary and Okotoks. Looking to work with up to 4 children and am open to short term and long term. Also do respite overnights for any age. Happy to fill some available time slots for area families.

I am almost 20 years old studying international relations at UBC. I love to read, sew and be outside ! I have my own car so I can drive too:)
